In a thing gone so
In a thing gone bad
In a thing gone sad
I don’t know
Maybe just because
Maybe just be there
Maybe life’s not fair
One of those
Yeah but don’t ask me
I may try, I may
Like a sun-slice ray
In the middle
But I still can’t see
How the world must be
I am hopelessly
Individual
And the big idea
Escapes me
Yeah but don’t ask me
I may try, I may
Like a sun-slice ray
In the middle
But I still can’t see
How the world must be
I am hopelessly
Individual
And the big idea
Escapes me
In a thing gone so
In a thing gone bad
In a world gone sad
I don’t know
Maybe just because
Maybe just be there
Maybe life’s not fair
One of those
One of those
One of those
One of those
Reminds me a lot of Court and Spark and Ladies of the Canyon era Joni. The synths and vocal chops of Kleinmeister, but the solitude of Rendezvous with Rama. I find it easy to describe in terms of other things but hard to describe the emotions that it makes me feel! These summer-y odes to that seem to be directed to a teenage New Englander really resonate with me, an almost not-teenage New Englander, two decades later, but I think anyone could see themselves in these songs! mickyfitz808
