You’re in the road
Do you know you’re in the road?
You’re in the road
And you’re walking very slow
You’re in the road
There’s a car behind you, bro
You’re in the road
And I don’t know if you know
I wish I wasn’t stuck inside this trap
Driving somewhere, parking, driving back
And this irritation never forms a pearl
And this madman in the road could take a pointer from a squirrel
You’re in the road
Do you know you’re in the road?
You’re in the road
And you’re walking very slow
I wish I wasn’t stuck inside this trap
Driving somewhere, parking, driving back
And this irritation never forms a pearl
And this madman in the road could take a pointer from a squirrel
You’re in the road
There’s a car behind you, bro
You’re in the road
And I don’t know if you know

Reminds me a lot of Court and Spark and Ladies of the Canyon era Joni. The synths and vocal chops of Kleinmeister, but the solitude of Rendezvous with Rama. I find it easy to describe in terms of other things but hard to describe the emotions that it makes me feel! These summer-y odes to that seem to be directed to a teenage New Englander really resonate with me, an almost not-teenage New Englander, two decades later, but I think anyone could see themselves in these songs! mickyfitz808
